Swap Your Books and Sip Some Wine at the Upcoming Holiday Book Fair & Swap at Pray Tell

A festive literary experience is returning to Philly this December as H&H Books, Books and Brews Philly, and Pray Tell team up once again for the Holiday Book Fair & Swap. The event will take place on Sunday, December 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Pray Tell’s winery and tasting room located at 1615 North Hancock Street.

This year’s gathering brings back a crowd favorite: Blind Date with a Book & a Bottle of Wine. The curated holiday packages, created in collaboration between Pray Tell and H&H Books, feature a surprise book paired with a bottle of wine, wrapped and ready for gifting. Each package spans different genres and wine varieties, offering an easy and thoughtful option for holiday giving.

The Holiday Book Fair & Swap invites guests to sip, browse, and trade books in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Attendees can sign up for one of two sessions: 12:00–1:30 p.m. or 1:30–3:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring up to ten gently used books and may leave with up to four selections from the swap table. Wine will be available for purchase, and H&H Books will offer a selection of new titles, merchandise, and gift options.

Tickets are available now on Eventbrite. Free onsite parking will be available, and all participants must be 21 or older.

Proceeds from the event will benefit H&H Books and support its publishing projects and community programming. H&H Books is an independent, nonprofit publisher and community bookstore based in Philadelphia and operates as a program of CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting diverse cultural initiatives throughout the region.

The Holiday Book Fair & Swap aims to bring together book lovers, gift seekers, and supporters of local literary arts for an afternoon of warm conversation, meaningful exchanges, and seasonal shopping.
