STARR Restaurant’s “Jackass Burrito” is Using Real Life Donkeys to Give Away Free Burritos!

If you see two donkeys strolling through Center City today don’t be alarmed.  In fact get ready to grub because donkeys Danny and Greta will be helping STARR restaurant to hand out free burritos for today only (April 23rd).

For one day only, Jackass Burrito is partnering with Buck’s County 501(c)3 donkey and horse rescue sanctuary The Farmette to give away 50 free burritos throughout Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse neighborhood. Donkeys Danny and Greta, adorned in custom Jackass Burrito delivery satchels filled with Mission Chicken, Baja Shrimp and Breakfast Burritos, will start their delivery route on the corner of S 20th and Ranstead Streets, heading down 20thtowards Rittenhouse Square and then heading East on Walnut Street. Danny and Greta will conclude their run at the corner of 17th and Sansom Street.

To ensure a forever home for these lovable asses, and one of those most mistreated animals worldwide, STARR Restaurants has adopted their very own donkey from The Farmette.  See the full route and times below:

*12:00pm – 12:30pm: Ranstead St. between 20th & 21st Streets
Come see Donkeys Greta & Danny prepare for their debut

12:30pm – 1:30pm: Roving between 20th & Ranstead south to Walnut St, down Walnut St to 17th St and concluding at 17th and Sansom

*1:30pm – 2:00pm: 17th & Sansom St (outside Sofitel Hotel)
