Did you know Philly is ranked the third best city to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Can’t say I’m surprised because if there’s one thing we all know for sure, it’s that Philly knows how to party, with or without reason. Plus, the city has one of the largest Irish American populations in the country. No need to be Irish to enjoy the fun though. This year, St. Paddy’s falls on a Saturday, which for most of you is truly a blessing in itself. Take a glimpse at what Philly has in store for March 17th!
1.) Bar crawls, bar crawls, bar crawls…
Philly is far from lacking in the bar crawl department. Not a fan of walking? We got bar crawls that’s providing door-to-door service to participating bars across the city. A fan of free stuff? We got bar crawls ready to give out swag to you and all your friends. Choose wisely, people! Hint: you can’t really go wrong with any of them.
Erin Express
Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day by taking on one of the most legendary bar crawls. 30+ years strong, Erin Express has only gotten bigger and better. The event is free to attend, with the addition of free transportation from one bar to the next. Does it get any better (and safer) than that?
When: Saturday, March 17th | 9am-6pm (The shuttles will begin running at roughly 11am)

“Luck of the Irish” Pub Crawl
PubCrawls.com is infamous for their holiday-related events all across the country. Halloween, Christmas, New Years Eve, and now it’s St. Paddy’s time to shine. You do have to register, but in return, you’ll have access to all of the best drink specials at all of the best bars in Philadelphia. And to make it even better, they are all walking distance from one another!
When: Saturday, March 17th.
Where: Participating bars include JJ Bootleggers, Infusion Lounge, Finn McCools Ale House, MilkBoy, and more!
$$: $12.95 plus fees. Registration required between 12pm-4pm at JJ Bootleggers.
St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl
The name is a bit generic, but this bar crawl is far from it! Come out and join One Up Events for their 2nd Annual St. Paddy’s bar crawl as they take over Old City to celebrate Philly’s rich Irish heritage. A ticket purchase is required, but you won’t be left empty-handed. No cover charges. Drink and food specials on deck. DJs and Entertainment, too. The first 200 people at the door will receive a free T-shirt, so you better try to get there early. If not, there will be plenty of green hats, beads, and glasses for everyone!

2.) St. Paddy’s Day at Xfinity Live!
Get lucky at the biggest St. Paddy’s Day party at Philly’s #1 sports bar! Xfinity Live is getting real festive on March 17th and plan to serve green beer and beads to all their guests. In addition, there will be cash confetti. Yeah, you heard me. Cash. confetti. As in, actual dollar bills falling from the ceiling while you’re getting your drink on. If that doesn’t sound like the best night ever, then what does?

3.) St. Patrick’s On Sydenham: Block Party
Join Vesper Sporting Club as they shut down Sydenham Street (2 blocks from Broad & Walnut) to celebrate what they consider one of their favorite holidays. The day party starts at 2pm with a live band and DJ, but as the night creeps in, the festivities will continue inside of Vesper. There will be drinks specials, food, games, and giveaways!
Wanna get a head start? Vesper invites you to stop by for their famous Bottomless Brunch from 12pm to 4pm featuring $25 bottomless mimosas.

4.) St. Patrick’s Day Tour, Toasts, and Tastes
Visit Laurel Hill Cemetery as they celebrate the “spirit” of St. Patrick’s Day, literally. Arrive by 1pm to receive a tour of the gravesites of notable Irish souls and a history lesson of their lives. Afterward, you will get to enjoy a sampling of beer and traditional Irish food provided by the Kearney Kommissary. Ticket purchases required.

5.) St. Patrick’s Day Megafest with The Sensational Soul Cruisers
The Field House presents: St. Patrick’s Day Indoor/Outdoor Irish Mega Festival! They’ll have live performances, food, and stateside vodka drink specials. Score a VIP ticket and you’ll get $2 Miller Lites from 11am-1pm.
