Get ready to channel your inner ‘90s nostalgia as South Street Art Mart brings back its 4th Annual Rex Manning Day Block Party on April 11, celebrating the 31st anniversary of the cult-classic film Empire Records.
Taking place from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 4th and South Streets, the free event will transform the neighborhood into a lively celebration of music, art, and independent culture.
Rex Manning Day has grown into a beloved fan-driven holiday inspired by Empire Records, the 1995 film centered around a group of record store employees fighting to save their shop. Celebrated annually by fans, the day embraces everything from iconic quotes to the rebellious spirit of independent music culture.
Now, South Street Art Mart is once again bringing that energy to life with a full-scale block party.
The event will feature a full lineup of live performances from local and regional acts, including:
