Sate Kampar is Back at Bok Bar for a Malaysian Rooftop Pop-up Experience!

Chef Ange Branca and the Sate Kampar crew are back at Bok Bar (800 Mifflin St.) serving up tasty Malaysian dishes.  Their last pop-up this past October was a smash hit as Sante Kampar rolled out a curated menu.

The Sate Kampar started April 14th and will run until April 18th. The menu includes classic Malay-style sate served with peanut sauce & cucumbers. Orders come in packs of 5 and guests can choose from chicken, goat or tofu.  Also on the menu is their Nasi Lemak Bungkus which consists of coconut cream-soaked rice topped with samba, roasted peanuts, crispy anchovies and hard boiled egg “all neatly wrapped in a fresh banana leaf.”  Perhaps their most popular dish, the Rendang Daging is a six hour slow cooked braised beef in spices and coconut cream.  Sate will be serving all-day (5-11 pm Thurs-Sat. and 2-10 pm Sun.)

While you’re enjoying your Malaysian delicacies, DJ Bearbait will be providing the vibes on April 17th.  In addition on April 18th Franklin and Whitman will be hosting a botanical steam making workshop.  Guests will be able to make their own facial steam and learn some do’s and don’ts on how to incorporate facial steams in their daily routine.
