Punch Buggy Brewing Company is Opening A Second Location in South Philly & Will Feature Axe Throwing

For almost three years, small batch brewery, Punch Buggy Brewing Company (1445 American St.) has been serving up amazing beers.  With its welcoming curb appeal which features outdoor seating and garage door, beer enthusiasts have been flocking to Kensington to enjoy their brews.  Now it looks like South Philadelphians will no longer have to drive so far anymore. On March 17th, Punch Buggy Brewing will be opening their second location at 1719 Washington Ave. 2nd fl.

It was only a matter of time before Punch Buggy expanded their budding brewing company. “In our first location we have enjoyed success and fostered meaningful connections to the Kensington community. This new location gives us a chance to reach a different area of the great city of Philadelphia and also allows our current followers to pair their love of our beer with the emerging sport of axe throwing,” states Punch Buggy Brewing Company’s John Riley

The Punch Buggy’s crews’ love for brewing started with trips to local breweries such as Philadelphia Brewing Company, Nodding Head and Yards. “This gave us perspective on what local beer could be, and that small batch brewing could be an amazing experience. From there we started experimenting in our own kitchens and one step followed the next,” Riley adds.

So what can guests expect from the second location? “In this new location there is plenty of space to hang with friends, we will be offering beer brewed locally in Kensington as well as beer from other breweries in Pennsylvania. This is a one of a kind experience where you can get local craft beer on tap right where you throw axes. For the grand opening Thursday March 17th we are giving a free beer to the first 50 customers and we will also have a BBQ food truck – @pdm_bbq and axe throwing will be free the whole time we’re open from 4-10 pm. We’re very excited to open this second location and have a fun and memorable time in South Philly.” States Riley,

The new location will comfortably seats over 125 guests and the hours of operation will be:

4-9 Wednesday
4-10 Thursday
12-10 Friday
12-10 Saturday
12-8 Sunday
