Post Haste is Hosting a Pay-What-You-Can Caviar, Oysters, and Duck New Year’s Eve Dinner
In a dining landscape where New Year’s Eve routinely comes with prix-fixe menus, multi-course minimums, and sticker shock, Post Haste (2519 Frankford Ave,) is doing something radically different — and radically Philly. The acclaimed Kensington restaurant is flipping the script on the holiday dining model and offering a Pay-What-You-Can New Year’s Eve menu, featuring dishes traditionally seen as luxury splurges like caviar, oysters, and duck — with no set prices. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
Inspired by their weekly Sunday pay-what-you-can service, the Post Haste team is bringing that spirit of generosity to one of the most cost-prohibitive nights of the year. It’s equal parts community gesture, hospitality mission, and a way to prove that celebration shouldn’t only be accessible to the highest bidder.
“We want people to celebrate on their own terms,” the team shared. “Hospitality doesn’t need a price tag. This is about sharing good food, good drinks, and a good moment without barriers — a Philly way to welcome the new year.”
All food items — yes, even the caviar and oysters — are Pay What You Can.
