Point Breeze Establishment “Community” is Donating Free Turkey Dinners to People in Need!

Chef Michael Sultan and his wife Angie, who recently opened Community at 21^st and Federal Streets in Philadelphia’s Point Breeze neighborhood, will be giving away complimentary packaged turkey dinners to anyone in need while supplies last on Wednesday, November 25^th from 4 to 6 p.m. Donations are welcome and will benefit MANNA, a Philadelphia non-profit organization which uses nutrition to improve health for people with serious illnesses who need nourishment to heal.

The turkey dinners with all the trimmings, which feed two people, feature turkey donated by Halpern Meats, along with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac & cheese, green beans, and pumpkin pie. And produce will be donated by Giordano Garden Grocery. This giveaway is first-come first-serve, and anyone in need can show up at the restaurant to pick up the traditional feast.

“We are always looking for ways to give back to our neighborhood, and we feel lucky to be able to do so, especially around the holidays” said Angie Sultan. “Mike makes a delicious Thanksgiving dinner every year, and we’re excited to share it with our neighbors this year and hopefully for many years to come.”

“I’ve worked with MANNA and I really believe in their mission, so Thanksgiving seemed like a great way for us to team up again,” said Chef Sultan. “One of the major focuses of Community is to work with other local businesses and give back to our community in fun and meaningful ways.”
