Philly Chefs are Keeping a Thanksgiving Tradition Alive With “Thanksgiving Solved”

Perhaps you’ll be away from family or maybe you simply do not want to cook, well a special Thanksgiving tradition is continuing thanks to some local Philly chefs. Jason Cichonski, who owned ELA on 3rd and Bainbridge began making ready-to-eat Thanksgiving meals at his old restaurant years ago. Fast forward today, Jason is keeping the “Thanksgiving Solved” alive with orders available now through November 16th with.

Messina Social Club (1533 S. 10th St.)  and Tulip Pasta & Wine Bar (2302 E. Norris St.) will be offering pick-ups at both locations.

“Our Thanksgiving tradition goes all the way back to the ELA days, but when the pandemic hit, we wanted to find a way to help people keep up holiday traditions even if they couldn’t be with family, so we decided to help everyone make a top-tier Thanksgiving at home, while saving them all the fuss and mess that usually comes with the holiday. It’s turned out to be such a hit that, at the annual request of our guests, we’ve kept it going. Everything is already cooked through – we include instructions with every meal, but all you need to do is heat and eat and you have a chef-prepared Thanksgiving meal right in your own home,” Jason states.

This year, Wayvine Winery & Vineyard will be popping up at both pick-up locations with a tailored selection of favorite pours, so you can skip the bottle shop entirely. You can reserve your wine bottles through the website with your Thanksgiving order, pay for your bottles at pick-up, and skip all the chaos of pre-holiday bottle shops and liquor stores.

“We’re honored to have become a part of so many Thanksgiving traditions and looking forward to helping our guests start the holiday season in a way that’s easy, joyful, and satisfying in every way,” Jason adds. Meals can be ordered here.
