Parks on Tap Announced Their New Location at FDR Park!

Parks on Tap announces that Philadelphia’s famous travelling beer garden is once again on the move – with a new location just in time for fall. Starting this Friday at 4:00pm, Parks on Tap is heading to South Philadelphia to bring a 50,000 square foot beer garden to FDR Park across from the public golf course, at 1500 Pattison Avenue. This new location will offer everything that fans of Parks on Tap have grown to expect, while serving as the perfect compliment for the abundance of activities ranging from relaxation to recreation that FDR Park offers. Patrons will be able to enjoy fresh food, beers on tap, wine and non-alcoholic beverages set in an outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms.

Parks on TapFDR Park will feature the same proven health and safety protocols that have already been launched at both other sites, including additional cleaning measures, ability for contact tracing, and other procedures as prescribed by the City of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania. Parks on Tap is family (and fido) friendly. Season hours for Parks on Tap at the FDR Park will be Wednesday to Friday, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10:00pm. A daily digital sign-in is required. Food and drink are pay-as-you-go. Seating is first come, first served. FDR Park will operate in tandem with Parks on Tap at Water Works.

FDR Park, one of Philadelphia’s cherished hidden outdoor gems, will offer locals a green oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of city life in Philadelphia. Parks on Tap will shine the spotlight on the South Philadelphia park and encourage people to explore all of the natural beauty that it has to offer. FDR Park offers an abundance of recreational sites, including 20 tennis courts, rugby field, golf course and 8 ball fields. Guests can also access the unique American Swedish Historical Museum and the internationally renowned FDR Park Skate Park. This new location is also home to one of the best places to bird watch since it offers a home to nearly 205 species.

For food and drink, patrons can look to FCM Hospitality to provide a variety of local craft beers, wine and cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic beverages such as water and lemonade. A full food menu is available for purchase that highlights items made from locally sourced items and snacks. The food menu will include bread and pastries from award-winning and nationally recognized affiliate partner Lost Bread Co. The beer menu will include Mainstay Independent Brewing Company’s Love Your Park Pale Ale. Love Your Park Pale Ale was originally created exclusively for Parks on Tap to help raise awareness for volunteering at loveyourpark.org. A portion of proceeds from the sale of the special ale goes back to support the parks.
