Not too late for summer vacation at Twenty Manning Grill
So, summer came and went and you didn’t get a chance to go anywhere for vacation? Twenty Manning Grill (261 S 20th St.) may be able to scratch that itch, but not for much longer.
Each Wednesday throughout summer, Twenty Manning Grill, COOK’s sister restaurant located in Rittenhouse Square, has offered up ‘Summer Vacation Wednesdays.’ The theme is essentially a U.S. road trip without leaving Philadelphia and without breaking the bank, as diners can enjoy a different city-inspired dinner every week for just $25 (including beverage).
This Wednesday’s #TMGVacaDay (5-7 p.m.) stop is Boston for a good ol’ fashion Clam Bake, featuring steamer clams, PEI mussels, shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes in a white wine garlic broth. The beverage: Harpoon Take 5 IPA.
The folks at Twenty Manning Grill had initially planned for this week’s to be the last of the summer vacation series. But alas, they’ll bring it back home one more time next Wednesday (8/2) for a Philly-themed dinner to wrap up the U.S. cities road trip. Whereas this week’s is a clam bake-style dinner, you can typically expect two courses and a beer for $25, and that’s on top of Twenty Manning’s normal happy hour deals of $3 beers and $7 wines.
