Nosey Palate is Hosting a Valentine’s Day “Blindfold Wine and Dessert Pairing”
If you’re in the mood to try something a little different this Valentine’s Day then perhaps a blindfolded wine and dessert tasting at Nosey Palate (1516 N 5th St.) will tickle your fancy. It is often noted that when one sense is inhibited, the brain rewires and strengthens our remaining senses. Allow Nosey Palate to heighten your senses by temporarily eliminating your sight with a blindfold while enjoying a candlelit ambience and soft music.
The sensation of flavor is a combination of taste and smell and in this blindfolded experience, Nosey Palate will guide you between a variety of wines and desserts to help you discover nuance flavors and create a lasting food and wine memory.
The taste buds on our tongue detects up to five elements of taste. Nosey Palate has carefully orchestrated desserts and hand picked wines to help you explore sweet, sour, spicy, bitter and savory aromas. This is a unique dating experience you can share with a partner. You will have an opportunity to guess before indulging and once you have tasted the final wine and dessert pairing, you may then remove your blindfold and see how well your taste bud did.
The Blindfold Wine and Dessert Pairing event is scheduled for 6:30 pm on February 14th aka Valentine’s Day. Tickets are $40 per person.
In addition to Blindfold and Dessert, Nosey Palate is also teaming-up with The Connection Collective for an interactive screening of Poetic Justice on February 11th. Guests will have an opportunity to win prizes based on their ability to identify key moments in the featured film.
Each person will be given a designated time to answer questions, engage in a fun discussion, and will be entered into a raffle to win tickets to one of an upcoming wine tastings and dinner. Entry fee is $10. Tickets to both events can be found at NoseyPalate.com.
