MilkBoy Has Announced They Are Reopening Both Restaurant Locations and Studio!

MilkBoy is back. The Philadelphia-born brand that includes a legendary recording studio in Northern Liberties (N 7th Street) and bar-and-restaurant concepts MilkBoy Philly (1100 Chestnut Street) and MilkBoy South Street (401 South St), is thrilled to announce its restaurant concepts are opening for socially-distanced dining.
MilkBoy Philly, the original Chestnut Street location, will reopen for outdoor dining and limited capacity indoor dining beginning Tuesday, September 22! The well-loved locale has recently undergone an array of renovations, including new flooring and the installation of two new beer taps, bringing the total to eight draft selections. The menu will consist of favorite comfort foods including a burger, cheese curds, and fried chicken, as well as a list of eight classic MilkBoy cocktails, including the Chestnut Street Skinny Dip and The Pharmacist.
Additionally , MilkBoy South Street is now open for outdoor dining with more than 80 socially-distanced seats as part of the Open Dining Room Program, an initiative helmed by the South Street Headhouse District. Every weekend through the end of October, the Open Dining Room Program will take place on the closed-off 400 block of South Street, where MilkBoy South Street resides, as well as the 700 block, from Fridays at 5 pm until Sunday evening. The bar is offering a satisfying and all-new food and drink menu that includes cocktails, a selection of canned beers, and an array of unique house-made seltzers. Both bars are offering contact-less menus via scannable QR codes in order to ensure a safe and seamless ordering experience.
“We’re thrilled to have both MilkBoy locations opening back up! It’s great to see the outdoor dining area spilling into South Street on this iconic corner, and we are looking forward to welcoming guests back to the original MilkBoy Philly Chestnut Street location for both outdoor and indoor drinks, dining, and takeout,” said co-founder Jamie Lokoff.
Guests can be assured that the MilkBoy team is securely adhering to all safety guidelines, rules and recommendations provided by the City of Philadelphia regarding COVID-19, including taking all necessary spacing and sanitizing procedures and ensuring that staff temperatures are taken upon entry into the bar. Guests are reminded to wear masks at all times when not seated at their table.
MilkBoy Philly will operate during the following special hours: Monday to Friday from 8 am to 10 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am – 10 pm. See the full menu here. MilkBoy South Street is also operating under new hours: Wednesday to Thursday from 4 – 10 pm and Friday to Sunday from 11 am – 10 pm.
Additionally, in response to the uncertain climate created by COVID-19, MilkBoy is offering guests the chance to directly support frontline essential workers: For every $750 raised with the Front-Line Food Pledge, MilkBoy Philly will donate 50 meals to the medical staff at Jefferson Hospital, located nearby. Guests are encouraged to check out MilkBoyMerch.com to pledge a donation, or to browse the selection of MilkBoy branded hats, hoodies, and more.
