Merry Grinchmas! You Can Now Take Your Christmas Photos With The Grinch!
The Bourse, Philadelphia’s newly opened artisan food hall on Independence Mall, is partnering with Morris Animal Refuge, America’s first animal shelter, for Merry Grinchmas — an afternoon of family-friendly holiday fun and entertainment on Saturday, December 15 from 10 am-4 pm.
Guests can eat, drink, shop and get their photo taken with the infamous Grinch. For $10, guests will receive a 4×6 photo with all proceeds benefitting Morris Animal Refuge.
“We are excited to partner with Morris Animal Refuge to host The Bourse’s first-ever Grinchmas,” said Kelly Duffy, The Bourse Food Hall General Manager. “We have just finished decorating for the season and what better way to kick-off the holidays at the food hall than with this fun, family-friendly event?”
Select food hall vendors will be offering specials all afternoon for Merry Grinchmas attendees, including hot chocolate from Chocodiem and a Grinch-themed sundae from Scoop DeVille. Bluebird Distilling, The Bourse’s craft cocktail bar, will be serving up a Frozen Grinch Negroni ($11) boasting Bluebird Distilling Juniperus Gin, aperol, mulled vermouth, and orange wheel garnish for those of age looking to get in the holiday spirit.
Attendees can also enter to win The Bourse Basket — chock-full of The Bourse swag as well as goodies from select food hall vendors, including a TaKorean gift card, a chocolate gift box from Chocodiem, Sundaes are for the Birds t-shirt from Scoop DeVille, and more.
Proceeds from the raffle as well as purchases from select vendors will benefit Morris Animal Refuge.
“We were quick to say yes when The Bourse reached out about this exciting collaboration,” said Lewis Checchia, Morris Animal Refuge Executive Director. “The Bourse is Philly’s hottest new food and beverage destination, and, of course, all proceeds from the afternoon will benefit the animal shelter – and who doesn’t love animals? Even the grumpy Grinch has his pet dog, Max!”
While this event benefits Philadelphia’s abandoned and homeless animals, guests are encouraged to leave their pets at home as animals are not permitted in The Bourse.
