Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Opened in Philly and Features 140+ Menu Items, Robot Servers and More
Rittenhouse is now home to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar’s 43rd location and the the very first one in PA. Located at 1721 Chestnut Street, Kura Sushi features a two layered conveyor belt system that circulates throughout the entire restaurant with various sushi plate offerings. In total Kura features over 140 menu items.
When seated guests can use the tablets located at each booth and counter space allow you to pick what you want to eat at your leisure. The kitchen staff receives a notification when you place an order from the tablet; the kitchen staff then preps the dish(es) and sends them zipping down the top layer express belt directly to your table. Their authentic foods and innovative systems have been passed down and improved upon since their parent company opened its first restaurant in Japan in 1977. A short anime plays on the tablet after every 5 sushi plates are dispensed into the plate slot.
Kura also brings a gamification aspect to your dining experience. The sushi chain teamed up with Tetris™ so guests can enjoy food while earning prizes such as badges, temp tattoos, as well as lanyards that feature the classic arcade game. Philadelphia guests will receive a single prize for every 15 sushi plates purchased. This prize collection will also be available for individual purchase in-store. Prizes will be available while supplies last.
Last but not least Kura also features their own robots. That’s right, Kur-B the KuraBot delivers drink orders tableside. How this works is once the waitstaff receives a notification about a party’s drink order, they place the beverages on Kur-B and program it to deliver to the corresponding table. With the added features to the tablets, guests can place their drink orders directly on the tablet and check-out on their mobile phone, limiting their wait times for service and providing more options for how they want to experience Kura Revolving Sushi.
Returning guests are also rewarded with special offers. Through Kura Sushi Rewards program, guests earn a $5.00 reward for every $50.00 spent, can view live wait times, join the waitlist remotely and are eligible for special promotions.
Restaurant hours are Sunday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., Friday + Saturday 11:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
