The Instant Gratification Run Is a Marathon You Don’t Have to Run
This may be a bit confusing to some but there’s a new marathon out there that involves no running whatsoever. The Instant Gratification Run literally has a simultaneous start and finish line so as soon as you start…..you’re finished.
This cooky event is actually a charity event that “started as a way to bring runners and non-runners alike together in the middle of winter to enjoy the best part of any running event-THE POST-RACE FESTIVITIES,” according to the official site. So essentially attendees are signing up to party.
Benefiting Children’s Country Week Association, the event takes place this Friday February 6th just outside of Xfinity Live!. The pre-race festivities kick-off at 5:00 pm with live music from musician Bryen O’Boyle at Victory Beer Hall. The Race will then take place at 7:30 pm with post-race festivities starting immediately after.
DJs will be entertaining the crowd the whole night as well as another live profermance this time from Bangarang. An awards ceremony as well as a special happy hour for all those with a racing bib will take place from 9-11 pm. If you want to take part in this great charity event you can register here.
