Fans of Disney classics and live orchestral performances will soon be able to experience The Lion King like never before as The Philadelphia Orchestra performs the film’s iconic score live at the Highmark Mann Center for the Performing Arts this summer.
Presented by Highmark Mann, Disney’s The Lion King Live in Concert takes place on June 20, featuring the beloved animated film screened in its entirety while the orchestra performs Hans Zimmer’s Academy Award-winning score live in sync with the movie. Tickets are on sale a highmarkmann.org
The performance will be led by conductor Damon Gupton.
Originally released in 1994 by Walt Disney Animation Studios, The Lion King remains one of Disney’s most celebrated animated films, known for its emotional storytelling, unforgettable characters, and legendary soundtrack.
