Thunderbird Salvage Brings Back “Kensington’s Got Talent” — a Wild, Weird Talent Show With a $300 Prize
Philly’s strangest talent show is making its return as Thunderbird Salvage prepares to host another edition of Kensington’s Got Talent on Saturday, May 16.
Taking place at 2856 Frankford Avenue, the one-night-only event promises an evening filled with unconventional performances, local personalities, loud music, drinks, and plenty of chaos — all in true Kensington fashion.
Organizers describe it as “your middle school talent show but older and weirder,” complete with beer and “70s metal all night long.”
Participants will have a chance to win:
- A $300 cash prize
- Booze
- Local bragging rights and fame
The event is strictly 21+, and organizers are actively encouraging offbeat and unconventional acts.
“Weird talents welcomed and encouraged,” organizers said.
One of the biggest draws of Kensington’s Got Talent is that the audience ultimately decides who takes home the grand prize.
Past editions of the show have developed a cult following for their unpredictable mix of performances and DIY community energy.
From comedy and music to bizarre stunts and unexpected acts, attendees never quite know what they’re walking into — which is exactly the point.
