Grubhub Donated $400K to 40 Philadelphia Restaurants to Assist With Winterizing!
As the city extends the ban on indoor dining restrictions, Grubhub along with the Greg Hill Foundation is looking to provide assistance to those depending on outdoor dining. In total both entities will donate $2 million in grant money to restaurants nationwide. Philadelphia restaurants will see a large chunk for a total of $400,000.
In total 40 Philadelphia restaurants will receive a $10,0000 grant from Grubhub and Greg Hill Foundation to help with winterizing their outdoor dining. Only restaurants with five or fewer locations qualified An application that outlined their plans to winterizing and create a safe and warm outdoor eating experience for their customers was also needed in order to receive the grant.
Seth Priebatsh is the chief revenue officer for Grubhub and was quoted as saying, “This winter will be different from any one before, with the restaurants we know and love needing more support to get through the season. Our partnership with the Restaurant Strong Fund – already instrumental in providing grants for restaurant employee relief earlier in the pandemic – is now responding to the needs of restaurants and providing valuable support to help them survive the challenging months ahead.”
