For many spring time means one thing, summer is around the corner and it’s time to get in shape. For those of you eager to shred those lbs from all those late night food runs and beer binges, Dilworth Park has a perfect solution. The new and ultra cool park is offering free bootcamp, Jiu-Jitsu, and Zumba classes every week from now until the end of April.
What makes these awesome fitness events even cooler is the fact that they take place after work hours. Convenient for those working in and around Center City, these fitness events start at 6pm and last for about an hour. So there’s no more excuses for not finding time to exercise.
The Bootcamp classes will take place each Tuesday from 6-7 pm and provide kick-ass classes to burn off the calories from the halal food truck lunch you had earlier in the day. On Wednesdays Dilworth Park kicks even more butt with Gracie Jiu Jitsu classes. From 6-6:30 participants will be able to learn a little martial arts as they look to get in shape. For women there’s an added bonus as City Fit Women’s Running Club meets here every Wednesday evening at 6:30 for their weekly 3 mile run through the city.
Lastly each Thursday from 6-7 pm get ready to get your heart pumping with Zumba. The wildly poplar fitness routine with a cult-like following will round out the free weekly fitness classes.
We know gym memberships and classes can get expensive and it’s tough to get to the gym once you’re home and want to relax. So eliminate those excuses by packing workout clothes along with your lunch when you’re getting ready for work. These fitness classes couldn’t be more centralized and hey for the price of “free” they couldn’t be more budget friendly.
