Geno’s is adding a new menu item in the never ending cheesesteak wars, well actually it is sorta’ new. Geno’s will now serve Italian hoagies along with their cheesesteak and roast pork sandwiches. This isn’t the first time Geno’s as served up the deli meat classic. However, due to cooks being bogged down by orders in the past the late Joey Vento 86’d the sandwich.
Visitors can expect to pay $9.50 for the hoagie which includes slices of ham, salami, capicola, American or Provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato. Since lettuce and tomato are now prevalent, guests can also choose to order a cheesesteak hoagie which will come equipped with the classic toppings.
No word yet on Pat’s Steaks’ response to the new changes across the street but it will be interesting to see how far these menu changes will go in order to get a leg up on the competition.
