Fourth Fridays Return to South Street with All-Day Happy Hours, Comedy Shows, Sip & Shopping, & Extended Hours

Winter doesn’t stand a chance on South Street. The South Street Headhouse District is bringing back Fourth Fridays, its monthly celebration of creativity, community, and nightlife that takes over the corridor every fourth Friday of the month. The next installment lands on Friday, February 27, with all-day specials, extended hours, pop-up programming, and unexpected moments unfolding throughout the District.

Designed as an open-ended, wander-friendly experience, Fourth Fridays encourage visitors to explore South Street at their own pace—ducking into shops, discovering live performances, stumbling upon pop-up DJs, and enjoying food and drink specials along the way.

“Whether you’re feeling like a couch potato or suffering from cabin fever this winter, we have your antidote — Fourth Fridays in the South Street District,” says Eleanor Ingersoll, Executive Director of the South Street Headhouse District. “Every month there’ll be happy hours where you least expect them, pop-up DJs, maker activities, food specials, dancing, sales and more. Get off the couch and out of your ‘cabin’ this winter — Every. Damn. Fourth. Friday.”

Expect a mix of returning favorites and one-night-only experiences, including:

• Complimentary wine and extended hours at Philadelphia Erotic Gallery
• Cocktails, sales, and late shopping at Urban Princess
• First Aid training session at Wooden Shoe Books
• “Story Salon” stand-up comedy rotation at At My House
• All-day happy hour at Fitz on 4th
• Extended hours with drinks from Cry Baby at Sweet Peel Vintage
• Fourth Friday Crafts at Stitch and Destroy, featuring free or low-cost take-home projects (February’s craft: crayon making)

And that’s just the start—additional pop-ups, DJs, flash sales, and creative surprises will be scattered throughout the corridor.
