Philly may be welcoming the world this summer, but three local sandwich institutions are making sure visitors get a true taste of the city while they’re here.

Just in time for a season packed with international visitors and major sporting events, Ricci’s Hoagies, Pastificio, and Farina Di Vita have joined forces to launch the Brotherly Love Hoagie Crawl, a citywide promotion celebrating one of Philadelphia’s most beloved culinary traditions: the hoagie.

Sponsored by Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages, the crawl invites both locals and visitors to explore three distinct neighborhoods, support small businesses, and experience three unique takes on the city’s signature sandwich.

Three Shops. One City.

The concept is simple.

Participants can pick up an official Brotherly Love Hoagie Crawl punch card at any participating location. With the purchase of any large sandwich, customers will receive a punch on their card. Once they collect a punch from all three participating shops, they can turn in their completed card and receive an exclusive commemorative Brotherly Love Hoagie Crawl T-shirt.

The limited-edition shirt, sponsored by Liberty Coca-Cola, celebrates Philadelphia, its small business community, and the city’s role as a global destination during this historic summer.

The promotion officially launches as international soccer festivities kick off in Philadelphia and will continue through the end of July, giving participants plenty of time to complete the crawl.

Celebrating Philadelphia’s Food Culture

While each shop offers its own unique style and approach, organizers say the collaboration is ultimately about showcasing the strength of Philadelphia’s food community.

“Philadelphia has always been a city built on community, pride, and incredible food,” said Farina Di Vita Co-Owner and Chef Jason Okdeh. “The Brotherly Love Hoagie Crawl is our way of welcoming visitors, celebrating local businesses, and showing just how inclusive our food community is.”

Okdeh noted that when he and childhood friend and business partner Brandyn Ortiz opened Farina Di Vita, one of their primary goals was to connect with fellow neighborhood businesses and chefs throughout the city.

“When Michael from Ricci’s reached out with this idea and told me that Anthony and Frank from Pastificio were already all in, Brandyn and I knew immediately this was something we wanted to be a part of,” said Okdeh.

A Summer Adventure for Hoagie Lovers

The crawl encourages participants to venture beyond their usual neighborhood and discover new shops while enjoying some of Philadelphia’s best sandwiches.

As Philadelphia continues to gain national recognition as one of America’s premier food cities, organizers hope the promotion will serve as both a culinary adventure and an introduction to the city’s thriving small business community.
