Miracle on South 13th Rings in the Season November 28 With a Block Party, a Characters Parade and Santa’s Arrival
The holiday season kicks off on South 13th Street with a block party. The 2026 opening night of the Miracle on South 13th will be held Saturday, November 28, from 5 to 9 p.m., and organizers are inviting neighbors and visitors to join them on the block to ring in the season.
The four-hour celebration is the official start of this year’s Miracle. Organizers say it will be a night to gather in the street, take in the season’s first festivities and welcome Santa to the block.
The evening’s centerpiece is the 4th Annual Characters Parade, which leads Santa down the block around 6 p.m. The parade, now in its fourth year, has become a tradition of the opening night. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, claim a spot along the block and be there when Santa makes his entrance.
Organizers say more details about this year’s vendors and happenings will be posted in a full guide to the event in the coming weeks. The opening night is billed as a block party, and the block will be filled with holiday spirit, neighbors and festivities from 5 to 9 p.m.
The block will be closed to cars for the event, which gives guests room to roam and gather in the street. Organizers ask visitors to plan ahead and take public transit, or park and walk to the block.
