Dilworth Park Announces Spring Events Including Family Friendly Weekends

Dilworth Park’s spring activities are beginning to sprout! Starting in March, colorful tulips, outdoor programming and family-oriented entertainment will pop up.  Enhanced health and safety protocols, like mandatory mask wearing and social distancing, remain in accord with State, City and CDC guidelines.

While the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin close for the season on Sunday, February 28, the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn will remain open through mid-April. A full lineup of free programming will activate the space at the southern end of the park, including weekly events for families with young children and an evening cultural series. Once the Wintergarden is dismantled, the lawn will be regraded and new sod will be installed. The Albert M. Greenfield Lawn will reopen in mid-May. The Dilworth Park Café will continue to offer cocktails to-go, and the Air Grille will have lunchtime hours beginning Monday, April 5. The twenty-five thousand tulip bulbs planted last December in all four Center City District managed parks will begin to bloom in April, flourishing through early May.

Upcoming outdoor activities include:
