If you remember last month we reported about Clementon Park and Splash World were being auctioned off. Well, it looks like the amusement park complex has a new owner and they are looking to reopen this year.

NJ.com is reporting a division of Indiana Beach Amusement and Water Park purchased Clementon Park and Splash World  at auction for $2.37 million plus a 10% premium for a total of just over $2. 6 million. “The buyer has indicated it plans to re-open the park “later this year. We’re pleased with this outcome and happy to have played a role in giving this park new life,” CRG President Bill Firestone said in a statement,” NJ.com  reports.

The online auction began at 10 am this past Tuesday was over by the afternoon with bids on the property as a whole as well as individual items. The new owners currently oversee operations of an amusement park as well as other attractions along the man-made Lake Shafer on the Tippecanoe River which is approximately 90 miles northwest of Carson Wentz’s new home in Indianapolis, the Courier Post reports.

Clementon Park which was established in 1907 by  New Jersey Assemblyman Theodore B. Gibbs closed its doors September of 2019 making it one of the longest continuously running amusement parks in the country.  No word yet on a specific date the parks will reopen.
