Cartesian Brewing is Linking Up With Sauceboy to Host Dinner and Throwback Movie Nights Including The Goonies

Cartesian Brewing owners Evan Roth & Caroline Podraza opened the doors to their E. Passyunk brewery back in October of 2021. Since then they have hosted a variety of events but they have a special series in store for those that love nostalgic movies.
Starting February 8th Cartesian Brewing (1326 E Passyunk Ave.) will be collabing with the Italian inspired pop-up restaurant Sauceboy for “Nostalgia Wednesdays.” The first screening will be the classic 80’s flick Goonies followed by Matilda on February 15th.

“Sauceboy has been a dependable and delicious pop up vendor at Cartesian Brewing throughout 2022. Rob Miskell (Sauceboy himself) reached out to Cartesian and proposed the idea of movie and pasta pairings in the winter months. Business is naturally slower, so Rob suggested this would be a good time to try something fun and creative,” Evan and Caroline explained.
Guests can expect a variety of pasta dishes with sides and dessert add-ons. Customers will be able to select the entree of their choice. Omnivorous and vegetarian options will be available. Final menu TBD.

“The pairing will actually be the food and the movie. We’re thinking some kind of “Fratelli” pasta for the Goonies’s villains. And definitely double chocolate cannoli cups for Matilda. Cartesian will have their full menu of beer, cider, wine, cocktails, and soft drinks available,” the couple adds.

This event is 21+, so no children or pets. Seating will be at their big door tables and intimate two-tops, so twosomes and groups of 4-6 are best. Tickets are $20 for Goonies (no dessert),  $25 for Matilda (comes with dessert) and can be purchased here.
