Bring Your Pup to Manayunk for the Annual Dog Day of Summer, Featuring 30+ Vendors, Activities, and Yappy Hours
Philly’s most paw-some event returns to Manayunk just in time to beat the heat. On Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dog Day of Summer transforms Main Street, Canal View Park, and Richard’s Apex into a dog-friendly celebration packed with treats, games, and activities for pets and their people.
Whether your pup is a social butterfly or just there for the snacks, there’s something for every tail-wagger. Start your day at the City of Paws Pet Care & Supply cool-down zone, where doggie pools, free pup cups, and a shaded oasis await. The first 25 guests will score a giveaway bag filled with goodies for their furry friend.
Craving something extra refreshing? Animedic Veterinary Hospital will be dishing out cool pup cup ice cream to keep your dog feeling chill. Over on Cotton Street, visitors can swing by the Manayunk Tent to enter a raffle for a curated Dog Day basket stuffed with pet-centric prizes from local businesses.
For the creative canines, Pup Prints & Paints at Richard’s Apex offers a chance to create a one-of-a-kind keepsake. With non-toxic, washable paint, dogs can stamp their paw on canvas while their humans help turn it into a frame-worthy masterpiece.
Looking to capture the moment? Head to Canal View Park for free caricatures of you and your pup from Dan’s Toonz, or step into the photo booth powered by Doc Rob Entertainment for a few candid snaps to commemorate the day.
In between belly rubs and photo ops, explore a lineup of over 30 vendors offering everything from gourmet dog treats and luxury pet apparel to local art and rescue organizations. Highlights include:
-
ACCT Philly
-
Bow-Nut Bites
-
From Mine, to Yours
-
Milo’s Way Luxury Pet Boutique
-

-
The Sparkly Puppy Butt
-
And many more
To top it off, a handful of neighborhood favorites are joining in on the fun with Dog Day Yappy Hour specials. Bring your pup and enjoy discounted sips at The Brass Tap and Ryan’s Pub, where the water bowls are always full and the patios are pup-approved.
With activities for every breed, age, and energy level, Dog Day of Summer is the ultimate day out for Philly’s four-legged residents and the humans who love them.
