Tierra Whack Surprised Local Students With a $10,000 Music Grant!
Philly native and Grammy-nominated artist Tierra Whack just helped local students to fuel their love for music. In conjunction with The Give a Band program, Tierra presented a $10,000 grant to the School District of Philadelphia. The presentation took place at Samuel Fels High School.
The Give a Band program helps to inspire and empower students through their love of music and helps to spark their creativity. Since many music programs are being cut, Give a Band helps to provide funds.
Tierra herself attended The Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush and is active in the Philadelphia community. This was the first time that Philadelphia schools were selected by the Give a Band program and Good Day Philadelphia was on-hand to capture the moment.
