SHADOWBOXIN’: BOX WINE AND WU TANG AT LA PEG
On Thursday, June 15 from 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., La Peg at FringeArts will host Shadowboxin’, an all-box-wine party featuring $4 pours from 10 featured boxes, plus a lively soundtrack by DJ Dame Luz. Guests can stop by any time during the party, which will be held outside in the Haas Biergarten with no cover charge; in keeping with the name, the playlist will heavily feature Wu Tang Clan, including GZA’s “Shadowboxin’.”
“We take wine seriously, but we also like to have fun, and with so many great boxes now available, we thought this would be a great way to enjoy them,” says General Manager Brad Histand. “Take a couple of boxes, add in a killer DJ and a fun outdoor setting, and you’ve got a perfect summer Thursday.”
The wine line-up (pictured above) will include: La Petite Frog Picpoul de Pinet from France; Big House Pinot Noir from California, René BarbierMediterranean white blend from Spain; Vin Vault Chardonnay from California; Naked Grape Moscato from California; Folonari Pinot Grigio from Italy; Fisheye Shiraz from Australia; Vidorra Real red sangria from Spain; Hacienda rosé blend from California; and Bota Box Sauvignon Blanc from California.
