Guy Creates Date While You Wait to Interact With Strangers and is Joined by a Special Guest
We’ve all seen it. Whether you’re standing waiting to be served at a restaurant, a train station or just about any place you have to wait, people are always staring at their phones. We’re sure that chiropractors stay in business with all of the bent necks in this world as people stare into their smartphones.
Well Thomas C. Knox of NYC felt he needed to do something to engage people and create more interaction among strangers. His solution? A nifty ideal called “Date While You Wait.” Essentially Thomas sets up a small table with two chairs, a flower in a coke bottle, with a game of Connect Four ready for the next contender. This isn’t for actual dating but to spark conversations with people and get people off of their phones and connect in real life.
His project soon found some publicity at the Huffington Post and the inventor of Connect Four, Howard Wexler soon caught wind of Date While You Wait and decided to take Thomas up on a game of Connect Four. How cool is that? Check it out!
