AIGA Philadelphia Will Host Its Annual Gala: MAD HATTERS BALL
he important date is Friday, June 12, 2015, marking the Third Annual Gala and Silent Auction for AIGA Philadelphia, which will take place 7:00–11:00pm at the Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N. American Street in Old City, Philadelphia. The Gala’s theme, Mad Hatters Ball encourages attendees to wear their “most fashionable or wackiest hat” and prizes will be awarded for the most creative!
The “festive evening of madness and whimsy” includes a silent auction, raffles, music, dancing, prizes, food and drinks. As AIGA Philadelphia’s largest fundraising event of the year, proceeds support AIGA Philadelphia SPACE and continued programming including lectures, exhibits and workshops that enrich the community and a membership of over 600 local design professionals, educators and students.
For the first time, the items available for auction bidding include special commissioned works with a “Mad Hatter/Alice in Wonderland” theme by top local designers and illustrators, alongside memberships, merchandise and services from local and national arts organizations and businesses. Exciting “Mystery Boxes” from select design studios are also available by raffle.
Mad Hatters Ball tickets are available for members at $45 in advance or $55 at the door, and for non-members at $60 in advance or $70 at the door. Register now. Attendees must be 21+ to drink alcohol. IDs will be checked at the door.
