You don’t have to travel all the way to Lancaster to enjoy an awesome Renaissance Fair.  May 16th -17th you’ll get to experience Philly’s own Renaissance Fair at Fairmount Park.  The Philadelphia Renaissance Fair complete with a strong man competition featuring Hafthór Júlíus “Thor” Björnsson aka”The Mountain” along with magic and dance performers.

Marvel Superhero Day

May 23rd | Please Touch Museum

Please Touch Museum is honoring all Heroes during Memorial Day Weekend for their Marvel Superhero Day. Dress as your hero and join us for a weekend of superhero fun and meet MARVEL Superhero’s Captain America & Spider-Man!

Eagles Junior Pro Day

It’s time to suit up for Eagles Junior Pro Day! This three hour event will be held on Saturday, May 31 at the NovaCare Complex. Children of all skill levels between the ages of 6-12 will have the chance to run through football drills at the Eagles practice facility and get hands-on instruction from current Eagles players. All Eagles Junior Pro Day participants will receive a ticket to the event, t-shirt and gift bag.

 

The Super Run

Dress up with your family and come out to run or walk for a great cause. The Super Run is a national series of events that partners with non-profit organizations to put on superhero themed events to help raise funds and awareness for their cause.

Roar ‘n’ Rock Concert Kids Concert Series

June 9th-August 18th | The Philadelphia Zoo

Pack your blanket and put on your dancing shoes—it’s time to rock and roar! Philadelphia Zoo’s Rock ‘n’ Roar concert series kicks off on June 9 and continues every other Tuesday through August 18th. Philadelphia Zoo is proud to host many of the area’s top family-friendly performers for this outdoor concert series, as they bring the joy and art of creating and performing live children’s music to a whole new level. All concerts are free with Zoo admission and take place on Impala Lawn, so be sure to pack a comfy blanket and snacks. It’s one summer event that you don’t want to miss!

 

Summer Camp for Kids at the Seaport

Broken up into two separate groups according to age, the summer camp for kids at the Independence Seaport Museum is a great opportunities for your kids to learn maritime facts, history and skills all in a cool and fun environment.  The camp is broken-up into ages 6-12 year olds and 13-16 year olds.

Prehistoric marine reptiles that ruled the primeval seas more than 100 million years ago are taking over Adventure Aquarium. Five thousand square feet of large-scale skeletons, ancient fossils and more than 20 life-size replicas will be on display to teach guests about the most intriguing sea monsters that ever existed – from massive pliosaurs and prehistoric armored fish to the whales, sharks and turtles that inhabit our oceans today.
