It’s the weekend of Cinco de Mayo, a celebration of Mexican culture that means many things to many people. But to us, it’s all about that famous blue agave juice from Jalisco, more commonly known (and heartily consumed) as Tequila. We’ll taste through a selection of the finest small producer blanco, reposado and anejo varieties, as well as provide insider tips — demonstration included, natch — for Making the Perfect Margarita. No pickled bugs allowed!

The art of American beer brewing goes back centuries before our founding fathers experimented with grains, molasses, and even spruce to create their concoctions. We’ll do some experimenting of our own with invasive plants we can find in the spring forest, while learning the basics of making beer with Home Brewed Events. While the beer is brewing, come on a hike and learn about the history of beer and brewing, as well as how to identify edible plants commonly found in Philadelphia forests. Pre-registration required.

Dine on a specially created menu and help decide which beer pairing you think prevails as the finest accompaniment for each course. The results may surprise you!
The 6th Annual International Beer Expo

This beer tasting event will feature an incredible variety of beers from some of the finest U.S. and international breweries while raising money for the Committee To Benefit The Children. This local Philly charity provides resources for the treatment and care of children with cancer, leukemia and serious blood disorders.
