Check Out This Adult Only Mega Bad Movie Night at the Museum With Beers & Cocktails
You read that right a Mega Bad Movie Night. It looks like the science community is looking to take the adult only after hour experience to new heights. This week the Academy of Natural Sciences is hosting Mega Bad Movie Night where guests will be treated….well to a really bad movie along with access to the museum and cash bar.
This Thursday February 26th, treat yourself to the mega bad movie Anaconda. This 1997 flick not only sucked, it essentially became more comical than suspenseful. As part of the Mega Bad Movie Night experience, guests will also be treated to commentary from witty experts who will offer their quips and sidesplitting comments on the many scientific absurdities of the move (think Mystery Science Theater 3000).
The fun continues as movie goers will also get to experience the new Titanoboa: Monster Snake exhibit as well as witnessing live snakes being fed in the exhibit at 6 pm. In addition educators will be handling live snakes from the Live Animal Center as well special specimens from the herpetology collection will be on display.
For the cherry on top, there will also be complimentary snacks and beer and wine open bar for VIP ticket holders. Of course you’re obviously wondering what a VIP ticket costs. Well only $25. That price alone is worth the open bar. Throw in the movie, snacks, and exhibits and you have a great night with friends or a significant other (assuming they aren’t squeamish). The fun kicks-off at 5:30 pm and continues until 9 pm. For more info on tickets click here.
