Penn Treaty Pictures Returns to Penn Treaty Park With Free Outdoor Screenings of Cult Classics All Summer Long
Outdoor movie season is returning to the Delaware River waterfront as Reel Nomadic brings back Penn Treaty Pictures, a free community-driven outdoor cinema series taking place at Penn Treaty Park.
Running from May through September, the seasonal series will feature a carefully curated lineup of cult classics, international cinema, thrillers, samurai films, action favorites, and repertory screenings — all shown outdoors under the stars along the waterfront.
The 2026 season kicks off Saturday, May 9 with a screening of M, the influential thriller directed by Fritz Lang and starring Peter Lorre.
Each event is free and open to the public, with guests encouraged to arrive around 7 p.m. for DJs, local vendors, community programming, and collaborations with Philadelphia microcinemas before the films begin at sundown.
This season, Reel Nomadic is partnering with organizations including:
- Secret Handshake Cinema
- VHS Club
- Sights & Sounds
Following opening night, the series continues with a standout lineup of screenings throughout the summer:
