Halloween Season Arrives at the Betsy Ross House With Spooky Tours, Classic Horror Films, and More

The Betsy Ross House is getting into the Halloween spirit with a month of frightful fun this October. From classic horror films to chilling tours of Philadelphia’s darker past, visitors can experience history with a haunting twist.

The season kicks off on Friday, October 3, 2025, with the annual courtyard screening of the cult classic Night of the Living Dead. Before the film begins, guests will enjoy a special performance honoring Hispanic Heritage Month, followed by a spooky tour of the historic house. To top off the evening, Triple Bottom Brewery will host a pop-up beer and cocktail garden on site. This event traditionally sells out, so advance ticket purchases are highly recommended.

On Saturdays throughout October, the Betsy Ross House will present a newly reimagined version of its popular Bloodletting & Burials tour. This immersive program reveals the gruesome realities of 18th-century Philadelphia, with expanded stops at Christ Church Burial Ground and the Arch Street Meeting House. Blending fact and folklore, the experience offers a chilling glimpse into the city’s history of medicine, mortality, and mystery.

With haunting tours, historic sites, and classic horror on the big screen, the Betsy Ross House invites visitors to explore Philadelphia’s past in a way that’s as entertaining as it is eerie.
