3 Pop-Up Beer Gardens are Coming to Philly This Summer!

Pop-up anything is all the rage in Philly.  Folks seem to go crazy over pop-up dinners, stores and parks so when beer gardens are thrown in the mix, you already know it will be a big hit.  The Pennsylvania Horticulture Society (PHS) has announced today three pop-up parks set to open in early June.  Located in various locales around town, each park will have a specialized theme along with various drink and food options.  Here is a quick breakdown of each park:

South Street Beer Garden

1438 South Street

This location was popular last year with awesome views of Center City skyscrapers, the South Street Beer Garden is probably the most popular out of the three.  This year PHS will decorate the garden with a Bohemian theme complete with banana and palm trees.  What makes this park extra cool is the outdoor take out window to order food from the adjoining Jamaican restaurant, Jamaican Jerk Hut as well as onsite food trucks. Beers here will be provided by Barren Hill Brewery.

South Philadelphia Beer Garden

9th & Wharton

This location will ooze the hipster vibe.  The furnishings will be ultra casual with beanbag type chairs and decor that includes reclaimed wood and spare bike parts. So if you’re looking for an artsy vibe to wash down brews this summer, this is the place to be.  Food & drinks will be provided by Royal Tavern, and Cantina Los Caballitos.

Logan Square Beer Garden

18th & Cherry

Last but not least is the Logan Square Beer Garden.  The theme here is describe as beachy.  So expect sand, honey locusts, palm trees, whispygrasses and cabanas for the ultimate chill vibe.  Folks working and living in around this Center City hot spot will definitely be flocking to this tropical spot in the heart of the city.  Food and drinks here will be provided by City Tap House.
