Want to Picnic This Weekend? Rouge is Offering a Charcuterie Cheese Board & Wine in a Picnic Basket!

While we’re practicing social distancing, we can still enjoy the outdoors.  The weather is finally breaking and as we’re inching towards the end of quarantine, we can still enjoy the weather while staying six feet apart. Luckily for us Philly has a slew of great outdoor spaces to throw down a blanket, enjoy some food, scenery and people watch (from a distance of course).  Now Rouge wants to take your park experience to the next level by offering a sweet picnic deal complete with meats, cheeses, wine and even a basket!

That’s right, Rouge is currently promoting their picnic special which includes a charcuterie board and cheese board that includes your choice of 1 bottle of wine for $65.

Executive Sous Chef Matt Delatour personally curated the menu to spotlight local creameries in Pennsylvania and their first spotlight is the Birchrun Hills Farm based in Chester Springs, PA. The featured cheeses are Equinox, Birchrun Blue, Red Cat, and Little Chardy. The charcuterie meats we are currently offering are hot sopressata, sweet Italian cured sausage, Elevation fennel pollen salami, and Fontana Prosciutto di Parma. All are served with an assortment of accoutrements and baguettes. For a $100 deposit, guests can borrow a customized Rouge picnic basket and blanket that includes 2 share plates, wine glasses, silverware, and a bottle opener. The deposit will be refunded when guests return the basket within 24 hours of purchase during hours of operation.

If you’re in the mood for something a bit heavier, Rouge is also featuring 5 different sandwiches, 3 different burgers, including our famous Rouge Burger, and 6 sides. Sandwich options are turkey club, ALT (avocado, lettuce and tomato), burrata caprese, grilled chicken sandwich, and prosciutto sandwich. All sandwiches are $14. Burgers include the OG rouge burger, a western burger, and a smoked cheddar burger. All burgers are 5oz and $12.  Sides include housemade old bay

chips, traditional potato salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad, Greek cucumber salad, and gochugaru spiced coleslaw. All sides are $6 each.

Hours of operation as of right now are Thursday-Sunday from 12pm-7pm. This might change depending on weather and depending on volume. All orders can be placed at Rouge through our pickup window, and online at rouge98.com.

Don’t forget cocktails-to-go are also a thing and Rouge has those as well. Enjoy to-go cocktails, wine by the glass and bottle, and beer that can only be ordered in person at the take out window. Menu can be found online at rouge98.com/menus/.
