This July 4th, Northeast Philly Is Hosting the Fourth Annual Freedom Festival With Live Music, Vendors, Breweries & Fireworks
If you’re looking an alternative to the celebration on the Parkway, Northeast Philly has you covered. The Fourth Annual Freedom Festivalreturns to Pleasant Hill Park on Saturday, July 4, from 5 PM to 9:30 PM — and best of all, it’s completely free.
Now in its fourth year, this community staple has grown into one of the city’s biggest Independence Day events, and the 2026 lineup reflects that. Expect two full evenings’ worth of entertainment packed into one unforgettable night.
The music runs across two live stages, featuring performances by Philly Heart and Soul, Ryan Bierdermann, the Kramer Brothers, Ray Palmer, and more — plenty of variety to keep the energy up all night long.
Thirsty? Two beer gardens will be on-site, pouring from an impressive lineup that includes City Distilling, Sacred Vice Brewing, Hillbilly Hooch, and more.
Hungry? A strong food truck lineup has you covered, with Joe’s Crafted Carvings, ByzEmpire, The Sweet Stop, Bacon on a Stix, and Taqueria Los Gallos among the vendors setting up along the grounds.
Bringing the kids? The Kids Zone on the field is loaded with games, rides, a moon bounce, and an obstacle course — wristbands are available for all-day play. There’s also a 40-foot Ferris wheel for the whole family to enjoy.
And to cap the night off right, the festival closes with a state-of-the-art fireworks show — the same spectacular display as Penn’s Landing — lighting up the waterfront sky.
