The UnSoul Food Owners Went From Homeless to Opening a Vegan Soul Food Restaurant!
Bryon and Natasha Dockett just opened the doors to their very own restaurant. UnSoul Food is a vegan soul food restaurant located in the heart of Fairmount at (1839 Poplar St.).
Although, the couple are budding restauranteurs, their road to success was full of trials and tribulations. Both Bryan and Natasha had lost their jobs and the apartment they shared leaving them to live out of a RV.
No job meant no money so the couple resorted to picking dandelions from lawns to survive off of. With only $100 left to their name the couple decided to buy a marriage certificate and make their union official.
After several months of living out of an RV the Docketts landed a new apartment as well as jobs. Things started to look up. It wasn’t long after this that the Dockett’s decided to quit their jobs, give away the RV and start a business of their own.
Fast forward to present day and you have a young and successful couple that is not only serving decilous meals but healthy delicious meals. Hours of operations are 7-10 for breakfast then 12-6 for lunch options.
