The International Sticker Art Show Is Coming Tattooed Mom Featuring Stickers From Around the World & A Sticker Movie

Who doesn’t love a great sticker? Well, for those looking to collect or simply appreciate the artistry that goes into a great sticker, then head over to Tattooed Mom (530 South St.) for the International Sticker Art Show running Friday, November 8th to Sunday, November 10th.

Hosted at the iconic Tattooed Mom—Philadelphia’s very own Unofficial Street Art Museum, bar, restaurant, event space—this fan-favorite exhibition is a celebration of street art culture. Sticker artists have been meeting, drawing, and putting up work at Tattooed Mom long before what they were doing was ever called “street art.” Instead of spray paint or wheatpaste, sticker artists use stickers as their medium, which can be easily traded with other artists, carried in a back pocket, or slapped onto a flat surface.

Guests will be able to check out works from 2012 – 2019, with many first time artists shown side by side with the seasoned titans. Honoring the strong hand drawn, character based sticker culture of Philly’s sticker art scene, Tattooed Mom called its inaugural 2012 sticker art show “Characters Welcome,” but so many different forms of sticker art are represented within the show every year: hand drawn, screen printed, stenciled, collaged, stamped.

Characters Welcome All Stars will brings together an archival collection of works from hundreds of sticker artists worldwide. Featuring eight years of stunning submissions, stickers, and collaged boards.

On Saturday November 9th, Characters Welcome All Stars will be the afterparty location for the Sticker Movie screening at Old Pine Community Center. On Sunday November 10th, Sticker Movie will host two fundraiser screenings in the upstairs back room at Tattooed Mom, one at 5:30pm and one at 10pm.  Tickets are available at tattooedmomphilly.com/event/characters-welcome-all-stars-an-international-sticker-art-show.
