The Inaugural Vino-delphia Debuts with a 3-Hour Walk-Around Tasting, Winemaker Q&As, and Italian Culinary Bites
Philly’s wine scene is getting an Italian accent this spring with the debut of Vino-delphia, a one-day walk-around tasting dedicated to artisanal, sustainable Italian wines. Taking place Saturday, March 7, the inaugural event invites wine lovers to sip, learn, and explore the rich traditions of Italy—right in the heart of historic Old City. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
Hosted by Vine Bar and Calandrino’s Old City Vino, Vino-delphia offers a three-hour immersive tasting experience where guests can meet winemakers face-to-face and sample bottles from seven Italian regions, spanning from Piemonte in the north to Sicily in the south.
Unlike a standard wine tasting, Vino-delphia centers on direct connection. Attendees will have the rare opportunity to speak with producers, ask questions about terroir and technique, and discover wines that are rarely seen in the U.S. market. Many of the featured bottles will also be available for purchase, making this a unique chance to bring home something truly special.
Complementing the wine selection is a lineup of Italian culinary bites by Ed Strojan, who will be preparing dishes designed to pair seamlessly with the wines being poured. Throughout the event, guests can also catch live pasta-making and cooking demonstrations, adding another layer of flavor—and flair—to the experience.
