South Florida-Based “Blueprint Cookies” is Expanding and Opening Their First Philly Location in Rittenhouse
If you’ve ever been to South Florida then chances are you’ve heard of Blueprint Cookies. What started in 2019 has quickly expanded into several locations including Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Plantation, and Cooper City. Now these sweet treat makers from the sunshine state are setting up shop out-of-state for the first time and have chosen Philly as their first location.
The all-new Blueprint Cookies in Rittenhouse is set to open on November 18th at 268 S. 20th St. The grand opening festivities will take place on both the 18th and 19th from 11 am – 11 pm and will feature a DJ as well as plenty of giveaways including tote bags, coffee from Bluestone Lane as well as dough cookie collaboration with Federal Donuts (all while supplies last).
Franchise owners Christian Williams and Johnny Ciarlante, and Joe Lees all grew up as close friends and decided to go into businesses together. This decision came after Christian took a quick trip to Florida with Johnny to visit his sister. This vacation led to chance meeting on the beach with Blueprint CEO Adam August. “Adam was telling Johnny and I about blueprints beginning, how they are growing, and plans to franchise all around. Johnny and I knew we wanted to get into business together, and it was a sign for us. Johnny and I looked at each other and said, we are going to bring this to Philly. Adam chuckled and said “a lot of people say those sort of things, but not many people follow through.” Well the next day Johnny and I put our heads together and got to work. Here we are just about 6 months later, and are ready for our first grand opening,” Christian explained.
As for the cookies themselves, their offer cookies made from scratch and include their classics Chocolate Chip and Sugar Sprinkles. Look for rotating options such as Sweet Potato Pie, Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie, and Apple Pie Pop Tart along with monthly specials like Mississippi Mud and Cookies and Kream. The Rittenhouse location will be grab-and-go and will be open daily 8 am-11 pm.
