The Bourse (111 S Independence Mall E.) is calling all beginner DIY-ers and stitchers for an Embroidery Workshop on Sunday, July 31 from 1 pm to 3 pm, led by Lea Saccomanno, the creative principal behind Philly-based hands-on pop-up Sippin & Stichin.
The Embroidery Workshop will focus on techniques designed to embellish, up-cycle and bring new life to well-loved garments and accessories, and is open to all amateur stitchers as well as veteran embroiderers who would like to sharpen their sewing skills.
Tickets are $50 per attendee and include the following:
• A Sippin & Stitchin starter kit: a 4” hoop, needle, needle-threader and practice fabric
• Access to a huge array of embroidery thread, tools to transfer designs, as well as all supplies needed to complete the project
• Two hours of hands on guidance
• A beverage from Scoop DeVille, which offers spiked shakes, spiked frozen lemonade, beer, and seltzers, as well as non-alcoholic options
Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite garments that may need a little TLC. Tickets for the workshop can be purchased here.
