Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti Will Be Hosting Themed Brunches Including Wizard of Oz, 90’s Retro & Toga
Lions and tigers and French toast, oh my. For those looking for a little flair to their brunch experience, Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti just announced they will be kicking-off a monthly brunch series with multiple themes, starting with The Wizard of Oz on Sunday January 29th from 11:30 am to 3 pm (just in time to catch the birds).
The newly renovated lobby will be transformed into a scene out from the Emerald City with a 20-foot long yellow brick road, full size movie cut-outs and a special backdrop perfect for those Instagramable and TikTok moments. Special Oz themed cocktails will be pouring at the bar and DJ Kiko will be spinning a special Emerald City mix.
From the kitchen, look for brunch dishes like French Toast with Grand Marnier and Berries, Belgian Waffles with Vanilla Bean Gelato and Mixed Berries, Sausage and Peppers Skillet, Brunch Burger, Smoked Salmon Flatbread, Zucchini Frittata, Lobster Skillet, Zucchini Crabcake and more.
Dress up in encouraged so click your ruby red slippers, wear your favorite Oz inspired costume, clothing and/or accessories, and invite your squad down Old City’s brick road.
Other brunch themes will include a 90s Retro Brunch on Sunday, February 26th and Toga Brunch on Sunday, March 26th. Starting February 1st, look for Wine and Whiskey menu every Wednesday, Bubbles and Oysters menu every Friday and new Sunday Funday menu every Sunday.
Themed cocktails for Wizard of Oz Brunch will be $13 each and feature:
A Horse of a Different Color –
(Gin, Chartreuse, Ginger, Lemon, Blue Ice)
A color changing Last Word riff coined after it’s equine namesake. Fun fact: horses generally enjoy the taste of ginger very much.
The Smell of the Flowers is Killing us All –
(Bourbon, Honey-Poppy Syrup, Cardamom; stirred; or shaken with lemon)
Words of warning from the Cowardly Lion as our band of travelers made their way through the Deadly Poppy Field. They were really just getting a little high on opium.
Green Lemonade Paid for with Green Pennies –
(Tequila, Crème de Menthe, Lemon, Mint)
“At one place a man was selling green lemonade, and when the children bought it Dorothy could see that they paid for it with green pennies.” Unfortunately our version is not child friendly, but don’t worry, we’ll provide the green pennies.
Lollipop Guild –
(Vodka, Passionfruit Cordial, Watermelon Liqueur)
There are theories about what exactly the Lollipop Guild represented in Baum’s writing, so we’ll choose to take the name literally – Lollipops! Sweet and tropical and, yes, it comes with a lollipop.
