Port Richmond Birthday Festival Returns to Campbell Square Park for a Day of Food, Music, and Celebration

One of Philadelphia’s most tight-knit neighborhoods is getting ready to celebrate in a big way. The Port Richmond Birthday Festival returns for its 7th annual edition on Saturday, March 28 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., bringing together local vendors, live music, and family-friendly fun in the heart of the neighborhood.

Organized by State Street Events and held at Campbell Square Park, this year’s festival marks Port Richmond’s 179th birthday, while also tying into the larger celebration of America’s 250th birthday, adding an extra layer of pride and community spirit to the day.

Now in its seventh year, the Port Richmond Birthday Festival has become a staple for locals and a growing destination for visitors looking to experience one of Philadelphia’s most authentic neighborhoods. Known for its strong sense of community and cultural heritage, Port Richmond shows up in full force for this annual gathering—transforming Campbell Square Park into a lively hub of activity.

With more than 60 vendors expected, the event offers a diverse mix of food, shopping, and local artisans, all showcasing the neighborhood’s vibrant small business scene.

Food is at the center of the celebration, and this year’s vendor lineup delivers a wide range of flavors—from BBQ and Mexican street food to sweets and comfort classics.

Festivalgoers can expect bites from:

  • Mama Smoothie
  • Los Gallos Mexican Taqueria
  • Babalouie BBQ
  • Corn Hub
  • Colon Family Kitchen
  • The Little Sicilian
  • Mr. Big Stuff Cookie
  • Cool Kids Collab
  • Kielbasa & More
  • Taste of Soul
  • Sibling Sweets
  • Hangry Joe’s Kitchen

Whether you’re grabbing a quick snack or building your own progressive feast, there’s something for every craving.

Setting the tone for the day is a lineup of live performances that keeps the energy high from start to finish. This year’s entertainment includes:

  • Smash Atoms
  • Ryan Biedermann
  • Ray Palmer
  • DJ Joe

From live bands to DJ sets, the festival blends local talent with feel-good vibes, making it easy to spend the entire afternoon enjoying the sounds of the neighborhood.

To complement the food and music, guests can also enjoy drinks from local vendors, including:

  • Hillbilly Hooch
  • Sacred Heart Brewing

These additions bring a laid-back, block-party feel to the festival—perfect for gathering with friends, meeting neighbors, and celebrating the community together.
