PINK BOOTS SOCIETY is Celebrating Women in Beer With a Virtual Toast!
The
Pink Boots Society Philadelphia Chapter, a local nonprofit encouraging and inspiring wome
n beer professionals to advance their careers through education, invites beer lovers to support and celebrate the bold women in the beer industry with a
virtual “cheers” on
Saturday, May 16th at 5 pm. This toast is in lieu of the postponed second annual
Bold Women and Beer Festival, previously scheduled for May 16
th.
To participate in the virtual “cheers,” beer lovers are asked to pick up (wearing appropriate PPE) a 4-pack, 6-pack or growler of a local Pink Boots collaboration beer or schedule a delivery from a local Pink Boots member brewery. Then, on Saturday, May 16th at 5 pm, participants should take a photo or video of their beer, raise a toast to support the Pink Boots Society and Bold Women and Beer and share the photo or video to social media using the hashtags: #PinkBootsCheers and #BoldWomenandCheer.
“In early March, women from the Pink Boots Society gathered together to brew collaboration beers to celebrate women in the beer industry,” said Erin Wallace, Co-Founder of the Philadelphia Chapter of The Pink Boots Society. “Typically, these beers would be offered at the respective participating breweries and during the Bold Women and Beer Festival, where a portion of the sales would be donated to the Pink Boots Society. However, due to COVID-19, breweries were shut down and our second annual Bold Women and Beer Festival was postponed. This virtual ‘cheers’ is a way for us all to support and celebrate our bad*ss women beer professionals and breweries.”
