Philly Will Reportedly Host the 2026 MLB All Star Game at Citizens Bank Park!
The last time Philly hosted an All Star Game was back in 2002. That’s when the NBA’s top talent and big name celebrities came to town. It was a magical time. The old Gallery hosted an Allen Iverson party and the who’s who of the music and entertainment industry could be spotted on South Street. Now it looks like the MLB is looking to make sprinkle some of their magic on Philly as Citizens Bank Park will be home to the 2026 MLB All Star Game.
The official announcement is planned for Tuesday at city hall but the word has already been spreading like wildfire through Twittersphere and the rest of social media.
It it seems odd that no other cities have been named for the 2022-35 MLB All Star game yet, the answer is yes. The grand scheme behind this announcement is the the celebration of America’s 250th birthday. What better place to celebrate this momentous occasion than America’s birthplace? I mean baseball is also America’s past time so it’s fitting.
Expect to see lots of stars, stripes and plenty of parties and events. Since Bryce Harper will be rocking a Phillies uni for a dozen or so years, expect him to be the Phillies ambassador. Hopefully, he will bring a big W in the home run derby. We shall see!
