The Philadelphia History Museum is Throwing a 70’s Themed Block Party With Tastykake & Wine Pairings
It’s always cool watching vintage movies which were shot or set in Philadelphia during the iconic 70’s era. The hair, the clothes, the culture and overall ambiance of the 70’s was as cool as it gets. Well for those that experienced it, now’s your chance to relive those classic times. If you were still just a twinkle in your father’s eye, you can get a little glimpse of what life was like in the disco days. The Philadelphia History Museum (15 S 7th St.) is Throwing a 70’s Themed Block Party With Tastykake & Wine Pairings during their “Cocktails in the Courtyard.” This is a celebration of for their 75th Anniversary.
Sip locally from Philadelphia Distilling, Penns Woods, Winery, Dock Street, 2nd Story Brewing Co. & St. Benjamin Brewing, while chowing down on tasty Philly foods from Campo’s, Panorama & El Rey. For added coolness there will also be a Tastykake and wine pairing, how Philly is that? Live DJs will be spinning classic 70’s tunes as vintage Philly photos from the area are projected on the walls. This block party will definitely be giving attendees Thursday Night Fever.
It all starts at 6 pm and the cost for this groovy event is $25 for members, $30 for general public ($50 for two tickets) all of which can be purchased here.
